DISCUSSION ON TITLES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Capetown, July 15. Cojonel Cresswell took his seat in the Assembly as Leader of the Labor Party. The Senate, by 20 votes to 9, rejected Mr. Reitze’s motion, arising out of recent adverse comment as to the awarding of birthday honors. The motion provided that in future the Government should neither recommend, consent to. nor recognise titles of whatever sort bestowed from outside on the citizens of the South African Union. The Minister for Justice s/ud if the motion was confined to hereditary titles he would be inclined to accept it, but not in its present form.
