TOUR OF THE AUSTRALIANS A MATCH AT HAWERA. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association it was decided to accept the offer of the Canterbury Association of a trophy for the secondary schools’ competition. It was agreed to ask all associations to grant the Referees’ Association representation upon the management committee. It was resolved to submit the following recommendation to the English Association : “That In cases of sticks in the circle being given when a goal would otherwise have been scored a penalty bully be given." The present rule limits to a penalty corner. The itinerary of the Australian teahi was amended as follows: September 2, Auckland, at Auckland; September 6, Wanganui and Taranaki, at Hawera; September 9, Manawatu, at Palmerston North: September 13, Hawke’s Bay, at Hastings; September 16, Canterbury, at Christchurch; September 20. Otago, at Dunedin; September 23, New Zealand, at Wellington ; September 27, Nelson at Nelson. It was decided to ask each association for a guarantee of £5O towards the expenses of the Messrs. L. H. Norton (Auckland), A. Manning (Wellington), and C. Bellamy (Canterbury) were appointed selectors of the New Zealand team.
