The principal decreases in imports were: Grain and flour £6,547,477, meat £2.189,125, non-dutiable food and drink £3,071,785, coal £5,022,371. The, increases were: Raw cotton £3 450,626, wool £2,761,242, timber £1 964,110, oil and seeds £1,516,906. The principal increases in exports were: Coal £5,379.269, cotton yarns and manufactures £4,456.003, woollen manufactures T-2,058. iron and steel manufactures "‘‘£sos. The principal decrease was: Mi chinery, £2,963,228.
