A sensation has been caused in cricket circles by the selection of Mr. Mann as England’s captain for the African tour. Mr. Mann became the Middlesex captain after Warner’s retirement. Oxford scored 222. In the first innings, Allen took five wickets for GO runs, and made 81 runs. In the second innings Allen took four wickets for 18.
