INGLEWOOD.
BOROUGH COUNCIL. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Borough Council met on Tuesday. It was resolved to advise Mr. Huston that the repairs required at his stables must be attended to without delay. The consent of the council was given to the sub-division of section 177, Inglewood. The works committee’s report was adopted. It was resolved that the recommendation of the hall committee with regard to outside conveniences at the hall be acted upon, and the committee was directed to that effect. The matter of trimming and planting tree*?, etc.j on the railway reserve opposite the post office was left to the works committee to deal with. The Mayor (Mr. J. R. Sutherland), Cr. Spurdie and Mr. Thomson (the council’s solicitor) were appointed to interview the Public Trustee with a view to obtaining a loan from him of some of the money he holds in trust for the council in connection with the sale of building reserve.* by the council. It was resolved that the water guage at the fire brigade station be connected direct with the water main. DOMAIN BOARD. The Domain Board held ite regular monthly meeting on Tuesday. The chairman reported that the fences at the Trimble Park and pavilion paddock reserves n reded repairs, and the committee of the board was authorised to attend to them: also repairs and conveniences at the dressing-shed in the football ground be attended to as soon as possible. The chairman was authorised to arrange with the secretary of the Football Club for a monthly rendering of accounts regarding royalty on gate revenue.
