INTER-CLUB MATCH. NEW PLYMOUTH v. ELTHAM. The New Plymouth club sent a team of 16 men to Eltham yesterday, when an enjoyable match was played against the local club. Four-ball games were played, New Plymouth winning six and Eltham two. The visitors were hospitably entertained, and had an enjoyable afternoon's golf. In the following details Eltham players are mentioned first: — J. and L. Quin beat G. M. Chong and H. D. Butcher, 2 and 1. , Ross and Stewart beat A. Smith and A. Bewley, 5 and 4. Dale and McDonald lost to W. C. Weston and G. Grey, 4 and 3. Wilds and Fallowes lost to A. Hasell and V. Elliott, 5 and 4. Phillips and Gibson lost to T. G. Thomson and Smythe, 2 and 1. Belcher and Anderson lost to Wilson and J. Hutchings, 5 and 4. H. Gibson and Harrison lost to A. Osborne and Andrews, 2 down. Canter and Turner lost to Stephenson and Peerless, 4 and 3.
