PROPOSALS FOR REFORM. WIDENING MEMBERSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 12, 5.5 p.m. London, July 11. Lord Crawford, in the House of Lords, submitted the House of Lords reform resolutions, which will be taken on Tuesday. They provide that the House of Lords shall be composed, in addition to peers of the blood royal, of lords spiritual and law' lords, of members elected either directly or indirectly from outside hereditary peers by their fellow peers and members nominated by the Crown The re constituted House will consist of 350 members. Another resolution provides that while the House of Lords snail not amend or reject money Bills the decision whether a Bill is a money Bill or not shall be referred to a joint standing committee of both Houses, consisting of seven members from each House, the Speaker of the House of Commons to be chairman. The number of peers nominated by the Crown is to be fixed by Statute. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
