A WORTHY CAUSE.
A FAMILY LEFT QUITE DESTITUTE. Recently the hand of death removed Mr. F. Kirk, of Pimgarehu, and his widow and family of five yuong children are left quite destitute. The Pungarehii settlers’ with commendable promptitude, hfeld a meeting last week and decided to raise a fund to meet the family’s necessities. The following amounts have already been subscribed, and it it imped others who can do so will forward contributions to the Daily News or Mr. W. T.
