GERMANY’S FINANCES.
FRANCE DISPLAYS ANXIETY. NEED TO REMEDY CURRENCY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received July 10, 5.5 pm. London, July 10. The Daily News’ Paris Correspondent expresses grave concern regarding the German financial situation and its effect on France, whose recent depreciation added nine milliard francs to the normal debit. Further, it is realised that not only will Germany’s cash payments be involved unless something is done to remedy German currency, but reparations in kind will soon be as uncertain as cash. Berlin’s declaration that it is impossible to continue monthly deliveries of coal to the Allies is regarded as significant of this. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Aasn.
