The trial at Petrograd of priests and others for opposing requisitioning of church property resulted in II being sentenced to death, including the Metropolitan Benjamin, a bishop, several priests and professors; also 53 to various terms of imprisonment. The court decided to criminally prosecute the Patriarch Tikhon.—Reuter.
