Mr. Hughes, replying in a characteristic speech, accused the Opposition of claiming credit for the successful achievements of the Government, though it opposed them when the proposals were first mooted. N.S.W. MOTION. Sydney, July 7. The censure debate was continued without incident and was adjourned till Tuesday. DEMAND FOR MORE MEMBERS. Melbourne, July 7. The Federal Country Party has decided to urge an increase of the membership of the House of Representatives to 76. with the object of saving Victoria a seat. The move is the outcome of the last census which, on a population basis, gives New South Wales an additional seat.
