(From Our Own Correspondent ) The euchre party .and dance in aid of the funds of the Inglewood Hockey Club, which was held in the Town Hall on Thursday-, June 29, was in every way a success. The members of the Hockey Club had entered fully into the spirit of the occasion and were thoroughly prepared. Besides local supporters of hockey, representatives of several other clubs were present. There was a large enough gathering to make everything pleasant, but without overcrowding the floor. lii the euchre, over which Mrs. Evans presided, the ladies’ prizes were won by Mrs. G. Lindsay first and Miss F. Walker second, and the men’s by Mr. T- Lindsay first and Mr. Cottier second. The dance music, piano and cornet by Messrs. K. Lawson and Rogers, was much appreciated, as were also, extras rendered by willing volunteers. To crown all a satisfactory cash balance, all expenses paid, was over for the club’s l>enefit. The scores recorded at the Inglewood Cribbage Club’s round in the current tournament, played on Tuesday, -4th inst. were: Fire Brigade 29 v. Foresters 22; Druids 24 v. Bacon Factory 22; Bowlers 24 v. Bristol Road 19; Kaimata and Kaimiro each a bye. The drawing for play on Monday, 10th inst. is: Kaimata v. Kaimiro, Druids v. Fire Brigade, Bacon Factory v. Bristol Road, Bowlers and Foresters a bye.
