SALE AT HAWERA. There was a good attendance of buyers at the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.’s Hawera saleyards yesterday, when the sale was held of 35 high-class pedigree Jersey females on ac- f count of Mr. Harry Hodge, of Alton. The attendance included a number of Jersey men from outside the district. The cattle offered were a very choice lot, and the bidding was brisk throughout. Top price was reached for Ratanui Silver, by Beachland’s Admiral-Silver 7th, imp., Which was bought by Mr. H. T. Spence, New Plymouth, for 60 guineas.
