SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
EGMONT CLUB’S GATHERING. The special Hawera Winter Show meeting took place on the A. and P. Showgrounds on Thursday before a fair number of spectators. There was a large number of entries, and Mr. Alec McGlashan, of Hastings, who acted as judge, expressed great satisfaction at the claes of work done by all competitors. The results are as under, Mr. O. J. Dunlop winning the first prize £2O and also the £5 special, he not having previously won an open event: O. J. Dunlop’s Lad (56 points) 1, J. R. Corrigan’s Tam (35) 2, H. R. Scott’s Meg (54) 3, M. M. Scott’s Swift (52) 4.
