HELPING DISABLED SOLDIERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. The Manawatu Repatriation Committee passed the following resolution unanimously: ‘That this committee, having an intimate knowledge of the circumstances of returned soldiers being assisted throughout the district, draws the attention of the Minister (Mr. Dowuie Stewart) to the desirability of encouraging the principle inaugurated by the Poppy Day executive, namely, that patriotic societies should be encouraged to provide suitable employment for partly incapacitated rather than pay money.”
