TEACHERS’ APPEALS.

BOARD AT NEW PLYMOUTH. A sitting of the Teachers’ Appeal Board was held at the Education Board's office, New Plymouth, yesterday, the proceedings being held in camera. Members of the board present were:— Mr. P. Barr (chairman), Mr. T. B. Strong (chief inspector of primary schools), representing the Education Department, and Mr. B- W. T. Blake, representing the teachers. Mr. T Thomas appeared ae advocate for the >pellants. The board dear ith six appeals, two of which were fully considered. The decisions of the board will be communicated to the Director of Education, who will then forward to each appellant the decision in his case. The members of the board leave for Wanganui by the mail train to-day.
