PRINCE OF MONACO.

BUTCHER CLAIMS TITLE. By Telegraph.—Press“ Assn. —Copyright. Received July 3, 7.5 p.m. London, July 3. The Monte Carlo correspondent of the Daily Express reports that George Frederick Grimaldi, formerly a butcher at Smithfield, has created a sensation in official circles by claiming succession to the principality of Monaco. It is recalled that the Pope in 1380 annulled the marriage of the late Prince with the daughter of the eleventh Duke of Hamilton, but Louis, a son of that marriage, is likely to succeed in view of his popularity in the State. —Aus.-N.Z- Cable
