WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, June 27At Wimbledon lawn tennis tournament Anderson beat Turnbull 7—5, 7—-5, 6—3. Anderson was superior in side Tine drives and placing, but his service was below normal. Turnbull had a strong service. In the lawn tennis tournament at Wimbledon-- O’Hara Wood defeated Lacoste, the six-teen-yeariold French boy, 6—l, G—l, 6—3. Lycett defeated Colombo, G—4, 5—7, 6-—4, 6—4. Wertheim defeated Hotham 6—2, 6—l, London, June 28. At Wimbledon Anderson (Australia) beat Norton, 6—<2, 6—3, 6—2. The latter was outclassed. Morgan was drawn against Patterson in the first round and scratched. The announcement was only made when a large crowd had assembled to watch the play. Received June 29, 5.5 p.m. London, June 28. At Wimbledon, in the first round, A. H. Fyzee beat A. W. Gore; F. Lowe beat A. A. Fyzee (retired) ; Brugnon (France) beat Alonzo. Lycett defeated Goldring C—2, G—2, G—4. In the. ladies’ singles, Misses Ryan and Lenglen got through the first round.
