A MOTOR FATALITY.
ACCIDENT IN SNOWSTORM. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Oamaru, Last Night. Thomas McQuin was motoring up a steep road leading to Hakataramea, at five o’clock yesterday, in a blinding snowstorm, and in the darkness failed to recognise a bad turn in the road, and in consequence the car went over the bank and capsized The accident was discovered by W. McCullough, who conveyed McQuin and J. Matheson, of Waim ate, who accompanied McQuin, to the Hakataramea Hotel, where medical attendance was procured McQuin, who was seriously injured, lingered till nine o’clock, when he expired. Matheson had a leg fractured above the knee, besides other injuries, and he Was conveyed to the Waimate Hospital.
