LABOR’S BITTER ATTACK. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 28, 5.5 p.m. London, June 27. The Labor Party’s conference, in Glasgow, Mr. Jowett presiding, bitterly attacked the vulgar orgies of the rich. The conference witnessed some noisy scenes with Communist members, who objected to a new rule compelling acceptance of the party’s constitution before being allowed to attend the conference. The rule was adopted by a 10 to 1 majority. Mr. Havelock Wilson’s position as member for South Shields, who declared his intention of contesting the next election as • Coalitionist, was raised. Mr. Arthur Henderson declared that under the new rule the new executive would have to consider the position of Mr. Wilson and other members who were sailing under Labor colon.— Cable Assn.
