A London cable records the death of the Hon. Victor Huia Onslow, a son of the Earl of Onslow. A Dunedin telegram reports the death last evening of Mr. William Duke, well known in connection with a butchering business in Dunedin. It was announced 'by the president at yesterday’s - meeting of the ' New Zealand Jersey Breeders’ Association at Stratford . that members of the council had been elected as follows: Messrs. R. J. Linn and E. Griffiths (Taranaki) and C. G. E-' Deriner (Manawatu and East Coast). A Paris cablegram reports the death of the Prince of -Monaco in a nursing home in Paris. The Prince of Monaco, whose revenues were largely collected from the casino at Monte Carlo, was a scientific student of some note. He was epecihlly interested in sea-dredging and did much valuable work with his yacht
