HINTS TO DAIRYMEN. 1 SCIENCE AND ITS RELATION TO FARMING. At the opening ceremony of the Taranaki Winter Show, the Hon. J. G. Anderson stressed the point of the value we owe to science and its relation to farming: not only does this apply to I the most modern inventions, also the building up of the carrying capacity of 1 the land with its increased productiveness, but to the great strides science has made in combating and treating the. various diseases of domestic animals. At this time of the year the busy dairyman has many worries to contend with, owing to the ravages of contagious abortion, retained afterbirth, etc. In this respect Dr. Ring's abortoids have proved a boon tp thousands of dairy farmers throughout New Zealand, and are used in stamping out abortion by keeping the herds and farms clean from this dreaded disease. These “abortoids” are strongly antiseptic and destroy all germ life with which i they come in contact, thus rendering all further discharges from the animal sterile. Although they are strongly antiseptic, yet they ate non-irritating, thus overcoming the dangers which follow the use of other antiseptic washes; and are absolutely safe in the hands of the most inexperienced, their efficiency is undoubted, their cost lbw enough to be within the reach of all. They are sold in boxes of one dozen at ss. Every farmer should have these on hand. Send P.O. for 5s to A. L. Hunter, P.B. Box? 231, New Plymouth, sole distributing agent for Taranaki for all Dr, Ring’s ‘ Blue Cross Stock j Remedies.*
