FOR CHARITY.
FOOTBALLERS EFFORT TO-DAY. Football patrons are reminded that to-day the procfeeds from all football matches in Taranaki are to be devoted to charity, a portion going towards the Sir Arthur Pearson fund for the blind and the remainder for the relief of necessitous cases in our own district. No amusement tax will he charged on the prices of admission to-day. Sports who attend the various matches out of love for the game of Rugby will have the additional satisfaction of knowing that they are at the same time helping in the worthiest of causes— that of charity. Tickets have been on sale and so far have sold very well, and it now behoves all to attend at the various matches throughout the province today to maintain Taranaki’s record of genera osity towards deserving causes, and to assist those who are not so fortunetd in life as others.
