DAMAGES AGAINST PAPER.
ALLEGATIQNS IN REPORTS. By Telejjraph.—Press Association. Greymouth, Last Night. Mr. Justice Adams heard a claim by Peter McKenzie, machinery inspector, for £2OO damages jointly against the Grey River Argus and Frederick Turley (the Timber Workers’ Union secretary), based on reports of three sawmill accidents, especially one Turley supplied alleging negligent inspection of the machinery. After an all day hearing. Mr. Justice Adams found for plaintiff, w’ho was awarded £75 and ’ costs.
