Whitcomb® to-day and C. Gray to-morrow. Major Wltherly, writing in Snorting Life, denies that Kirkwood is an Australian, and says that should Kirkwood win the honor will not go to Australia, but to the country of his birth. The editor defends Kirkwood’s nationality, and quotes Hutchison’s opinion that Kirkwood is the greatest golfer tn the history of the game. Alec. Herd, writing in the Daily Express, forecasts that Hagan will prove the winnei? of the championship.
