NATIONAL MORTGAGE AGENCY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, June 19. The National Mortgage Agency of New Zealand has declared an interim dividend of 5 per cent. MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. Melbourne, June 20. The wool sales were irregular and withdrawals heavy. American buyers were active for the better qualities. CANTERBURY PRODUCE MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press' Association. Christchurch, Last Night. A considerable amount of business has been doing this week, although there Ims been a slight easing as compared with last week. The greatest amount of business has been done in respect of Italian and perennial ryegrass, both of which are In firm detnand. According to a merchant who handles a large amount of these lines, the demand Is exceptionally heavy for this time of year. It shows, he said, there will bo a keen demand in the spring. Cocksfoot is also selling well, although not to quite the same extent as last week. Practically nothing Is offering in white clover. It is expected that at the end of the month, or the beginning of next month, however, the demand should be brisk again. Ryegrass is selling firmly at late rates. Oats have lately been lifeless. The position to-day is that they are, if possible, even weaker than previously. Wheat is on a dull footing, too much being in hand, while undergrade is stagnant, the prices at which it is in offer in the south being too low for acceptance in Canterbury. There is no champ; 1 in barley. The market for potatoes is a little brighter than last week.
