A LIBEL ACTION.

PRESSMEN v. LORD NORTHCLIFFE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, June 10. The newspapers state that Sir Andrew Caird, vice-chairman and Mr. W. G. Fish, director of the Associated Newspapers, have issued writs for libel against Lord Northcliffe. Sir Andrew Caird has for many years been a prominent figure at Carmelite House, being prominently connected with the production -of the Daily Marl and other Northcliffe papers issued at this publishing house. Mr. Fish was for several years the News Editor of the Daily Afe.il, and has latterly occupied the position of assistant managing editor. They have been two of Lord Northcliffe’s most useful lieutenants, and it will be interesting to gather what has transpired to 'bring about the reported Ifbel action.
