SMOOTH PASSAGE IN JAPAN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 17, 5.5 p-m. Tokio, -lune 17. The Naval Treaty is progressing uninterruptedly through the regular channels, with a prospect of the Imperial signature very soon. According to a Foreign Office official, who states that no objections were raised, the Privy Council is ready to adopt the report, thus passing the Treaty on to the Throne.— Reuter Service.
