HUNTING.

MEET AT ONAERO. The North Taranaki hounds met at Mr. Geo. Wray's property, Onaero, on Saturday, when an enjoyable afternoon's sport was obtained. Unfortunately, a strong wind was blowing, and the hounds-” had difficulty in picking up the scent. However, several short runs were obtained, though no “kills” resulted. About 20 followers were on horseback, and several spills occurred. Later the huntsmen were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wray at afternoon tea, the master (Mr. A. H. Halcombe) returning thanks on behalf of the club. The hunt will meet at Mr. Adlam’s property, Motonui, next Saturday.
