The second day of the Napier Park Racing Club’s meeting was held in showery weather, there being a moderate attendance and good racing, though the course was heavy. The totallsator handled £12,089—a decrease of £11,424 on the second day of last year. Results : MEANEE HACK, 6 furlongs.—Grandiose (L. Q. Morris) 1. Santiago 2, Cochineal 3. Also started: Auckland, Miss Roseland, Tireless, Novoko, Morgen, Ranui. Won by a length, with half a length between second and third. Time, 1 min. 21 1-5 sec. WAIOHIKI RACK HURDLES, 1% mile.— Royal Gift (W. Fielding) 1, Highway 2, Matatua 3. Also started: Battle Song, Ruatarn, Earthshine, Polthogue, Wharitl, Hastle. Won by half a length, the same distance between second and third. Time, 2 min. 58 2-5 sec. WINTER OATS HANDICAP, 7 furlongs.— Civilform (France) 1, Haurangi 2. Tari 3, Won by two lengths, a head separating the second and third. Time, 1 min. 36 4-ssec. PARK STEEPLECHASE, 2¥~ miles.—Chillies (A. Trieklebank) 1, First Line 2, Ethiopian 3. Also started: Goldscene, Calma, Silver Stride, Oakrose. Won by 12 lengths, 20 lengths between second and third. Oakrose, Calma anti Goldscene fell. Time, 5 min. 26 2-5 sec. HUNT CLUB STEEPLECHASE, two miles.— Nicomar (A. McDonald) 1, Powder King 2, Tatlni 3. Also started: Torps, Awanui, King Boy. Won by four lengths, ten lengths between second and third.
