Wellington, Last Night. The deputation from the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Association waited upon the Minister for Railways (the Hon. D. H- Guthrie) to urge the need for better ventilated vans for the carriage of fruit by rail. Tn reply the Minister stated that the z ßailway Oepartment was taking measures to alter the existing fruit vans so as to give greater ventilation.
