ARREST AFTER STRUGGLE.
SUSPECT A “WANTED’’ DIRECTOR. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 16, 9.10 p.m. Vienna, June 16. Detectives, after a struggle in a hotel bedroom, arrested a man suspected of being Gerard Bevan, the London financial man who disappeared in February. The prisoner attempted to commit suicide in prison. Gerard Bevan was chairman o-f directors of the City Equitable Insurance Company, the failure of which caused a sensation in London. Bevan disappeared when the company failed, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was last seen at Naples.
