COURSING.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. A meeting of the New Plymouth Cours-Dg Club was held last night, Mr. R. Bartley presiding over a good attendance of members. It was decided to hold a working bee on the grounds during the week-end. to fix fences, etc., and to net hares. An offer by Mr. J. Uncles (Inglewood) to net hares was accepted with thanks. Several letters weri received from outside sportsmen throughout the North Inland, enquiring as to when the club’s first meeting of the season was to be held. It was intimated that the season would probably be opened with a meeting next month, the definite date to be arranged at the next meetA finance committee, consisting of the chairman and Messrs. Walsh and Wheeler, was appointed, also a canvassing committee to approach various sportsmen in the town with the object of enlisting their support. The question of appointing an auditor was deferred till next meeting. The meeting night was flxed for Friday of each week.
