LOST ON RANGES.
DEATH OF SECOND MAN. ALIVE WHEN FOUND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, June 16. The missing Tarawa tramper, E. J. Kime, wa-s found yesterday by the search party sheltering under a rock near the spot where he parted from his mate Bollons on Saturday morning two hours beyond the Alpha hut and slightly off the track. He was in better condition than Bollons, and it is hoped to have him in Greytown to-morrow by noon. Carterton, June 16. Kime was found yesterday afternoon by Mr. F. W. Voseller. within 20 minutes of the top of Mount Hector, alive and well considering his privations and exposure. He was on the sunny side of the mountain in a* locality known as the “Beehives.” He had* plenty of food but ne blankets or coverings except his ordinary clothes. Word was brought into Greytown by Mr. G. W. Brown. Mr. Voseller and Kime spent the night in the Alpha hut, and will reach Woodside to-day and take train for Wellington.
HOW KIME DIED. SOON AFTER BEING FOUND. Carterton, Last Night. The Daily News received a special report at five o’clock to-night that Kime died at Mount Alpha hut at seven o’clock last night, six hours after he was found. Mr. F. W. Voseeler brought the body to the Tauherenikau hut, and left there at 1 p.m. He will arrive at Woodside at 4-35. The body is expected to arrive some time to-night. Later. The body hens now been brought to Greytown, where the inquest will be held. The rescue party all arrived back at Greytown.
