BIG PRICE FOR BULL.
A NEW ZEALAND RECORD. A TARANAKI DEAL. A six months Friesian bull has changed hands in Taranaki for the sum of 650 guineas, a record price for New Zealand for any animal of either sex l . The vendor is Mr. Vernon Marr, of Mangatoki, and the purchasers are Messrs. G. A. Mar-chant and Sons, <rf Cardiff. The bull is King Alcartra Pietertje, a son of Alcarton Clothilde Pietje, which, as was reported recently, is expected to give a phenomenal yield of butter-fat for a current testing period of 365 days. She has already given close on 8501bs. with nearly four months left. The sire of King Alcartra Pie tert je is Highland Crowl* Prince.
