CORRESPONDENCE.
URENUI CEMETERY. (To the Editor.) Sir, —I congratulate J.G. for starting the ball rolling re Urenui cemetery. It is not only J.G. (he or she) that knows the work needs doing and all that is needed is a leader, not in a “Grand March,” but in solid work, and so now, J.G., to -show you are in earnest, step forward and take your list headed by a good figure out of what the dead friend or brother left behind and you 'will find you are on the right track, or, if that is asking too much, take your slasher and. cut tracks like the good, old willing horse did to the monument. Don’t begrudge the “dancing mad” crowd their pleasure, for they are still alive and it is the few shillings they willingly spend that keeps the township going, as every dance held is for some good object. Our last was for church work, our next a glad re-union of the return--ed living soldiers, then one in aid of library funds, and so on. J.G., come along, start your list, get the money, and then provide a man that will do an honest day’s work. When you do that you will be doing genuine work for your district. —I am, etc., A.L.I.V.E.
