Following is the result of the first round in the Brewster Cup match, played at Waiwakaiho on Tuesday: Miss Gavin defeated Miss Bremer, 2 up; Mrs. Perry defeated Mrs. Wade, I up; Mrs. Nicholson defeated Mrs. MacDiamnid, 4 up and 3; Mrs. Quilliam defeated Mrs. Gray, 6 up and 3; Miss Thomson defeated Mrs. Hill, -1 up and 3; Miss Stanford defeated Mrs. Burke, 3 up and 2; Miss Shaw defeated Miss Reid,. 1 up; Mrs. Johns defeated Miss Simpson, 1 up. On Tuesday next a bogie match will take place, players to choose their own partners.
