The Australian Davis Cup representative* are practising daily at Wimbledon. Critics express the opinion that the Australians should beat the Belgians comfortably, and that advantages favor them against France, the Frenchmen being better hard court than grass players. An Italian Davis Cup representative, Demorpugo, is attracting much attention Ln London. One writer expresses the opinion that hia service will be almost as sensaional at Wimbledon as was Patterson’s because his spin Is so great that the ball looks like an egg as it flashes over the net.
