Sam Allen, a wellknown bookmaker, was stepping from a taxi at his home, when three men attacked and seized him by the throat. They robbed him of £5O in cash, £5OO in cheques and jewellery, and then decamped. The driver of the taxi attempted to go to his assistance, but was threat-ened.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
