NO OFFICIAL INFORMATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Regarding the reported gold find at Taumarunui. the Minister for Mines (the Hou. G. J. Anderson) informed a reporter that» he had received no official advice in regard to the new find. There had been previous reports of gold discoveries in the middle of the North Island, but none of these had been of any magnitude.
