THEATRICAL CASE
AN INJUNCTION DISMISSED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch. May 2-9. Mr. Justice Adams gave judgment in favour of Leonard Nelson, comedian, with the Quality Performers, in a ease brought against him by Southwood, manager of the company. The Supreme Court, Dunedin, granted an interim injunction against Nelson, prohibiting his appearing with any other theatrical manager except Southwood during the New Zealand tour of the Quality Performers, with whom Nelson bad a contract to play in New Zealand. Last week Southwood sought to have the interim injunction made perpetual as long as the company played in the Dominion. Nelson opposed the motion on the ground that the contract had been broken by Southwood by failing to star Nelson in the advertisements and in other respects. His Honor said the effect, of his decision would be to discharge the interim injunction.
