DISASTROUS EXPLOSIONS.
HEAVY DAMAGE IN AUSTRIA. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 27, 1.45 p.m. Vienna, May 26. A fire at an ammunition factory at 'Bluman caused an explosion of a nitroglycerine tank. Ten people were killed and 6 injured. Heavy damage is reported.—Reuter. \ Received May 28, 5.5 p.m. Vienna, May 2G. Tn connection with the explosion of a dynamite magazine. caused by a fire in a Government explosives laetory at Bluman, near Vienna, the dead now number nineteen and the injured 250. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. AMERICAN POWDER WORKS WRECKED. New York, May 26. At Emporium, Pennsylvania, three powder-packing houses were blown up, killing nine and injuring many. The cause of the explosion is unknown. GUNPOWDER BLOWS UP. Received May 28, 11.5 p.m. Geneva, May 27. A gunpowder factory near Thun was blown up, killing two boys, injuring fifty persons and shattering windows for many miles around. Many houses were demolished. The factory contained several tons of powder.
