WOMAN AIR PIONEER.

, SOCIETY ROMANCE RECALLED. London, May 13. The death of Mrs. Grant, formerly Lady, Abdy, at Monte Carlo, recalls a romance of the baronetage and the flying world. Her second marriage to Sir William Abdy was the sensation of 1909 on account of the bridegroom’s lavish presents. She* later developed an interest in flying, frequently accompanied Grahame White, the famous airman, and was once in aii aeroplane crash. Mrs. Grant offered £50,000 for the establishment of a London-Paris service.
