MORE BRITISH PREFERENCE. By Telegraph.--'-Press As-n.—Copyright. Received May 24, 9.5 p.m. Ottawa, May 24. The Finance Minister (Mr. Feilding) presented his Budget to-day. It provides for increased British prference on sugar, woollen clothing, cocoa, boots, and movie films. The domestic sales tax is increased 50 per cent., and new taxes balance 50 tariff reductions. The estimated revenue is 332,629,000 dollars, and the estimated expenditure 466,983,359 dollars.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
