BRITISH BILL PASSED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 23, 8.10 p.m. London, May 22. The House of Commons read a third time the Empire Settlement Bill. Mr. L. C. Amery resisted Mr. Wedgwood’s amendment to restrict the scheme to the co-operation of the Dominion Governments, so that private organisations would be excluded, and the amendment was withdrawn.—Aus.-N.Z.
