BOWLING.

ANNUAL MEETING AT WAITARA, The annual meeting of the Waitara club was held last week, Mr. S. G. Fraser (president) in the chair. The balance sheet showed receipts amounting to £194 19s lid, including £4l 12s 7d brought forward, and expenditure £165 4s 2d, leaving a credit of £29 15s Pd. The only liability is £lOO in debentures, but against that are assets (irrespective of tho cash balance) worth £l5l 19s 5d after writing off depreciation. Officers were elected as under: President, Mr. J. Blair; vice-president, Mr. T. R. Ford; secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. J. Dunbar; sole selector, Mr. L. H. Sampson; delegate to association, Mr. L. H. Sampson; committee, Messrs. A. Young, Huse, L. Sampson.. Cole, Fox, S. Elliott, Ferguson. It was resolved that the warden bo appointed by the general meeting instead of by the committee. The secretary was voted an honorarium of three guineas. Mr. Hawkins thanked the meeting and said he would have pleasure in handing the sum back to the club. It was decided to institute a junior championship, and Mr. Ford offered to donate .in Honors Board in connection with same, the offer being accepted with thanks. The meeting decided that the entrance-Tee be not enforced for next season. Two new members—Messrs. Morey and K. George—were elected. Votes of thanks were accorded the outgoing officers and the ladles.
