THE EX-KAISER’S BOOK.
BIG PRICE FOR FOREIGN RIGHTS. By Telegraph.—Press Aasn.—Copyright Received May 21, 5.5 p.m. London, May 20. The Daily Chronicle’s Berlin correspondent states the ex-Kaiser’s book is completed, and parts have been shown to foreign buyers. The ex-Kaiser is standing out for a million dollars for the foreign rights, and is practically certain to get this, which is equal to three hundred million marks, or four times what he has thus far received from Germany since the revolution. Tha Kaiser had literary help, and appealed to friends, including Hindenberg, for details of the story. Generally it is guarded, but argumentative and provocative, regarding some happenings during the war. The manuscript has been in existence for some time, but the ex-Kaiser hoped to return to Gremany and only determined on publication when it was plain that his return to Germany w®e» impossible. The Daily Chronicle suggests the title should be “Apologise Pro Bello Suo.”—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
