Baines Is Impressing critics at Marlow, Where he is stationed at the Marlow Rowing Club's headquarters. With Towns, Baines rows twice daily over the course, which is the same length as Hanley and similar in many respects, doing long paddles interspersed with short periods at a racing stroke. The Henley regatta opens on July 5. Baines' most formidable opponents are J. Beresford, of the Thames Club, who was diamond in 1920, and Gollan, of the Leander Club; also representatives of America and Switzerland.
