Orders fcr papers may also be left With him. PROTEST ANT POLITICAL ASSOCIATION. May 19. The Rev. Didderich, president of the Protestant Federation of Australia, delivered an address under the auspices of the Stratford branch of the P.P.A. at the Stratford Town Hall last night, to a small attendance. Mr. I. 'Bridger, Taranaki district president, was in the phair. The speaker enunciated the principles bf Protestantism and dwelt on its relation to the constitution of the British Empire, and explained its expansion in Australia. Mr. Harford, Dominion president of the P.P.A., who is touring with the Rev. Didderich, spoke of what he called the necessity of sending representatives to the New Zealand Parliament who stand four-square on Protestant principles. STRATFORD GOLF CLUB. The golf season in Stratford was Opened by the Stratford dub yesterday, with mixed foursomes. In spite of the showers of rain, a pleasant afternoon's play resulted. The death took place yesterday, at »» residence of her daughter. Mrs. G. Vincent, of Mrs. Elizabeth Williams, the age of 76. The late Mrs. Williams came to Stratford 32 years ago. was predeceased by her husband " 10 year* ago. She is survived by Ifchrec sons—Messrs. The anniversary services in connection with St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Stratford are to be held on Sunday next, and will be followed by the anniversary tea and social on Monday evening. . Doubly welcome, therefore, will be the visit to Stratford at this week-end of the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, the Rev. Daniel Dutton, FJLAjS., F.G.S. Both services on Sunday will be conducted by this honoured visitor, and he will also speak at Monday night’s gathering. There will doubtless be a large and repreesntative gathering of Presbyterians and others at the services and at Monday night’s gathering. Call at W. H.
