ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MAN FOUND DEAD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, Last Night. The body of a man with the throat cut was found lying in a paddock m Princess Street. It had apparently lain there for some time. Deceased has been identified as George Peck, latterly of Palmerston North, and formerly of Waiohe. He was middle aged ana single.
KILLED AT RAILWAY CROSSING. Dannevirke, Last Night. At the inquest concerning the death of James O’Brien, the one-legged man who was killed at the Allardice Street railway crossing on Friday last, the coroner found that no blame was attachable to any individual. He added a rider urging the Minister of Railways to take into immediate consideration the necessity for having installed, at once, a system of warning bells or athex effective system.
